Hi! I’m Kayla, a junior (11th grade) high school student who’s preparing for the transition to college. Annually, my school has a College Tour trip for junior students to take a two day tour of colleges located in north Florida. It’s a great experience, we visit eight colleges, meals and hotel fees are covered, and it’s much cheaper than visiting each college individually on your own. Only problem is, I do not have enough money to cover the full cost, and being the daughter of a Black single mother, money doesn’t just happen to become available to us. I am asking, begging really, for help to pay for this trip as soon as possible. I plan on going to college to be an OB/GYN or something in the medical/engineering field, and this trip will help me determine the path I want to take in the near future.
