I desperately need help to either fix my current car or get a new one altogether. A wonderful friend has been letting me borrow hers in the meantime, but she needs it back next week and I won’t have any way to get to work. I have thousands of dollars in hospital bills and I don’t have the money to dump into a car.

Also, the original post was just a rant that I didn’t expect to get so much attention so let me explain in further detail so you know what’s going on. Here’s what we know for sure:
- Josh Duggar molested 5 girls, starting in 2002
- After the first girl came forward, Josh Duggar admitted it to his parents who “disciplined him themselves”
- After the second girl came forward, the Duggar family notified their church who allegedly sent him to a “Christian Counseling Program”
- Michelle later claimed this never happened and his was just sent to live with a family member for four months.
- After more accusations in 2003, Jim Bob Duggar and some church elders took Josh Duggar to the police station for a “stern talking to” from a state trooper.
- Said state trooper was later convicted himself for child pornography charges
- In 2006, the Duggar family was to be interviewed by Oprah who heard about the situation, causing a full blown police investigation to occur and the family lawyered up (it should be noted several lawyers went all “fuck no” to the case and wanted no part of it).
- The statute of limitations has since expired, leaving Josh Duggar free from conviction.
Here’s just some in general horrifying information:
- His wife fucking knew about the whole time and has now put their children in danger.
- His parents fucking knew about the whole time and put their children in danger
- His church fucking knew about and put the public in danger

#i read a post once that described 90s kids as the generation of nostalgia #because so much technological advancement happened in such a rapid timeframe when we were growing up #that we can clearly remember having technologies that are now obsolete #like going from a corded hugeass phone to a small computer in your pocket just within our formative years is a major thing #and it sparks a nostalgia for our seemly ‘simpler’ childhoods #because so much rapid development makes it seem like it was a lot longer ago than it actually was (x)
also we grew up in an era of booming economies and promised an adulthood of prosperity and endless opportunity such that if only we got good grades and went to college we would spend the rest of our lives enjoying life in the future.
and then the economy crashed and the jobs disappeared and we’re all tens of thousands of dollars in debt and either unemployed or working undercompensated overtime trying to keep jobs that don’t quite cover the necessities after we’ve made our student loan payments and the idea of affording a house or a marriage or kids is some giant bitter joke.
If we’re sad, it’s on the same line as that old saying about how if they really want to punish you, they don’t just send you to Hell, they give you a tour of Heaven first.

Today at Easter dinner, one of my dad’s friends, who I haven’t seen since I was a kid, came up behind me while we were taking pictures and pinched my butt. So I turned to him and said quietly (because I didn’t feel like making a scene) that he was not allowed to touch me that way because it was inappropriate and he laughed in my fucking face and said “Oh, right cause you’re a liberal.” And so I said to him, in the loudest voice possible, that no, it was because I was a fucking human being and my body is mine alone and no one can touch me without my complete consent and if he ever even thought of pinching my butt again, I would punch him in the face. And the whole party was staring at us and you could see how uncomfortable he was even though he tried to laugh it off, and then my dad told him to leave. So, girls, boys, and everything in between, if anyone EVER touches you without your consent in a sexual manner, CALL THEM OUT. Let everyone around you know what they did and tell them to never do it again. Don’t laugh or smile or even frown it off, then walk away (unless it endangers your safety.) Expose them for what they are.
