of course something ignorant was said about this product by the original tweet poster, but reblogging for the false eyebrow site^^I didnt kno they had these
brow extensions
Okay but do you realize how good this is for cancer patients?? People with scars who can’t grow brows??? People with alopecia??? (Sp? ) like… pls stop hating the beauty industry.
people with trichotillomania
Yes to people with trich. One of my roommates reblogged this saying they didn’t even know they made these until they met me. And the sad thing is, I didn’t even know they made these until I did a Google search one night in a fit of desperation. I’ve gone to so many therapists for trich, and instead of providing me resources like this, they would often leverage the fear of looking ugly as motivation to stop. If anything, it only ever made the problem worse.
These save me so much time in the morning. Before I discovered them, I would have to meticulously pencil my brows on every day just to feel normal enough to leave the house. By contrast, I can keep the fake ones on for about three days at a time, and gluing them in place takes only a few minutes with a bit of practice.
I’ve been getting mine from headcovers.com for over three years now. They’re a bit pricier than the ones offered on other sites, but they last 3-4 months if taken care of properly (meaning to buy the site’s adhesive remover as well and clean them after each use). They also look very natural. Everyone who’s talked to me about them told me they didn’t even know my eyebrows were fake until I alluded to such or took them off in their presence.
This sounds like it could be quite useful for some of my readers!!
really thinking about purchasing some.Going bald during chemo didn’t bother me nearly as much as losing my brows. I’m not sure if it was because I had adorable wigs or just because I was prepared for that part, but nobody tells you how much the color, thickness, and shape of your brows affects your face.
My hair falls out like no other thanks to lupus. My eyebrows and eyelashes fall out more than a healthy person’s so this is super cool. I could totally see myself using this to help the areas where my eyebrows are too thin! Thank you for bringing this to my attention!
ALSO they make a version of this for your eyelashes! They’re called eyelash extensions! I can’t use fake eyelashes because I’m too afraid that it would pull them out so it’s a great alternative.

“but the guy said he didn’t do it!” literally all rapists say this, what else is he gonna fucking say. next. “but she got all that attention!” and you would prefer she what, quietly suffered and maybe killed herself in silence like so many rape victims do? next. “but she got school credit so she totally had a reason to lie!” if you think that a few credits in exchange for making herself vulnerable to mass smear campaigns and people calling for her death and for her to be raped AGAIN etc is something that makes sense to any human being you are just willfully obtuse, next. “women lie about rape all the time!” you’re a fucking rape apologist and a misogynist if you believe this despite the overwhelming evidence that it is not true. next.

Three years ago after I turned thirty, I remember some wise-ass asking me how it felt to know that I’d outlived most people from the Middle Ages. To which I replied, “technically, I did that when I turned two years old.” The statistic that people from the Middle Ages and Ancient Era only lived to be around 30 is grossly misrepresented, and I feel like more effort needs to be put into fixing that misunderstanding, because far too many historical, cultural, and sociological theories are based around it.
While technically it’s a true statistic, what’s so rarely brought up is the fact that the reason for this was the very high infant mortality rate among past cultures globally. When two-thirds of the global human population dies before their first birthday, it tends to skew the life-expectancy averages southwards. Any cursory historical research will turn up dozens of figures who lived into their 50s, 60s, or 70s, and even many slaves, peasants, and laborers who had shorter life expectancies tended to live well into their 40s. I mean, Caesar was 56 and still kicking ass when he was assassinated, Charlemagne was in his late 60s, Alexander the Great was almost 33 and every text ever written about him says that he died young. I hate it when something gets accepted as common knowledge without proper context, and I hope if nothing else this post gets a few people to rethink their understanding of what they know about history.
Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away. Most of the Psalms date to Solomon’s reign, which was around 3000 years ago; the more recent are from the Babylonian Captivity which was around 2500 years ago. While many died much younger of disease or infections (not to mention war and murder) people even in the Bronze age lived a good long time if they made it past age 5 or so.
Just tacking this on as another common one, I’m not sure about medieval times but in the 17th century the average age people got married at was actually a year or so OLDER than the average western age today.
