Hey guys, just wanted to share a bit of my story with you. My name is Leo, and I’m transgender.

I have no support from my parents, as both are bible thumping, abusive bigots who have made this process nearly impossible. Since coming out, my mom has been sending me cruel and hateful text messages and bullying me relentlessly. This includes sending pictures of me when I was female and captioning them “pretty Elizabeth” which is obliviously super fucking dysphoric and exhausting. I’ve attached some for you guys to read so can you see just how incredibly ignorant and toxic she is. I try not to let it get to me, but after years of psychological abuse, they know how to weaken me.

I’m suffering from both depression and severe anxiety, and wearing a binder every day has become excruciatingly painful. Most days I don’t even want to leave bed. I am doing my best but am currently homeless and struggling to get by. I just want to be a normal person again.

The cost of the procedure, hospital, travel and lodging fees will be around $10,500. Even if it’s just a dollar, I would be so grateful for your support.

Here’s the link to my GoFundMe, if you guys could please help me spread this around I would appreciate it.

Signal boosts would be AWESOME. I love you critters!

HEY FOLKS
My buddy Leo could use your help.
He’s one of the toughest men I know and he deserves all the love and support in the world. Even if you can’t donate, please share this amongst the trans community! We have to help our brothers in any way we can, because a lot of us only have each other.

this makes me so mad. I’m so sorry you have to deal with this man

Thats fucked up

My 13 yearold sister got asked out as a joke today. She’s now locked herself in her room crying. I swear to god this is the most fucked up thing ever. She won’t speak to me or my mom and she’s blasting Taylor Swift but you can still hear her crying.

If you ask someone out as a joke, fuck you, you are literally the scum of the earth.

All through middle school it was a game to see if anyone could ask me out and make me believe they meant it but I had such a low opinion of myself that I knew it was always a joke. It’s still hard to trust people are being sincere with this shit. It’s not a prank or a joke it’s cruel, heartless, and can have lasting negative impacts on a person.

okay so my grandma had this friend and he was late to everything, but he didn’t really mind, as he would always joke around and say ‘oh well, as long as i’m not late to my own funeral’.

he recently passed away and last week at his funeral, everyone was in the church waiting for it to begin. they waited for more than 30 minutes past the set time and then came the news:

the hearse had gotten stuck in traffic. the hearse with his body in it.

he was late to his own fucking funeral.

i just want little disabled girls to know they’re beautiful and that the moon and stars shine for them

and, since it’s april and people are trying to cash in and exploit autistic people for their own gain, i really want autistic girls to know they’re beautiful, and that the moon and stars shine for them

especially autistic girls of color who are hugely misdiagnosed or undiagnosed, trans girls who have being autistic used against them in an innumerable amount of ways by medical professionals, fat autistic girls who are seen as undesirable on multiple axes, autistic girls who are multiply disabled and have their autonomy repeatedly taken from them

you’re all so important and wonderful, and you make this world a lovely place to be

Lets not forget the disabled boys

this post is specifically for disabled girls, and, as my second comment states, especially autistic girls; they have every right to have ONE post celebrating them.

this post in no way implies the negation, or criticism, of disabled boys existence, and it should not be necessary to include them in a post meant to celebrate disabled girls, who experience a unique form of misogyny-driven ableism - the two cannot be separated - that disabled boys do not.

Reasons to Support “Home”

bonobos-with-frockets:

As you should know by now, the lead is an adorable lil 15 year old who goes by Tip and is voiced by Rihanna. Let me tell you more about Tip:

  • She and her mom (voiced by Jennifer Lopez) are both immigrants from Barbados
  • She’s a big nerd and, as she proudly says more than once to Jim Parsons’ alien character Oh, got an A in geometry
  • She was treated different by the other kids and had trouble fitting in
  • OK LOOK AT HER. SUCH a realistic body! Unsexualized, normal clothes, beautiful curls…love her.

Anyway, this movie is about imperialism. It’s not even trying to be subtle, like, first minute, bam, imperialism. So sassy.

Tip’s mom is looking for her, and describes her as: “she’s got big green eyes and beautiful brown skin.” Score.

The crowd shots in this movie are the most diverse I’ve seen; you can tell what an effort they put in to incorporate people of all races and body types. There was even a casual Muslim couple conversing with another pair (don’t remember their races), several dudes and ladies with dreads, just so much diversity I couldn’t even take it all in.

Dreamworks needs your help!!! They’re in a bit of a financial pinch, and this studio is too good to go under.

This movie rocks so please, please go see it!

Have you ever come across a homeless individual and felt totally uncomfortable? You see them and you know they are in need, but you are not sure what to do. You know that handing them money is not the best thing. But, you also see that they clearly have some needs. Their lips are chapped. They are hungry. They are thirsty. They are asking for help. How can you help? Here is a simple idea - blessing bags.

This was such an easy project. We are now going to keep a few “Blessing Bags” in our car so that when we do happen to see someone on the streets who is homeless, we can hand them a Blessing Bag. I first learned of these bags from my friend, Julie. I am using the picture of her bags (see above) because the ones we took were taken in horrible lighting and turned out really grainy and hard to see what is inside of them.

If you’d like to make your own Blessing Bags, this is what you would need: Gallon size Ziplock bags items to go in the bags, such as: chap stick packages of tissues toothbrush and toothpaste comb soap trail mix granola bars crackers pack of gum band aids mouthwash coins (could be used to make a phone call, or purchase a food item) hand wipes you could also put in a warm pair of socks, and maybe a Starbucks gift card Assemble all the items in the bags, and maybe throw in a note of encouragement. Seal the bags and stow in your car for a moment of providence. This would be a great activity to do with some other families. Each family could bring one of the items going into the bags (ex: toothbrushes). Set up all the items around a table and walk around it with the ziplocks and fill the bags. http://kwavs.blogspot.com/2011/05/blessing-bags-how-to.html

oh man i wanna do this

mee tooo. im bout to go to the dollar tree and rack up or a wholesale store.

All these reblogs make me so happy to see. So many amazing people on tumblr

random acts if kindness

please include a couple pairs of socks actually! Socks are among the most highly desired clothing item for homeless individuals
