#i base so much of my bucky characterization on this moment #steve has literally just pulled him off zola’s table #he’s probably half out of his mind #plus he just watched a guy pull his face off and everything around him is on fire #and you know #his best friend is suddenly huge #he’s stumbling along after steve and you can tell he’s not entirely with it #but then this moment happens #and in the first gif there’s just raw desperation in his eyes #but in the third gif #there’s anger #he is absolutely furious at the idea that steve might not make it over to the other side #you can almost FEEL the rage vibrating under his skin #and it makes me wonder #i saw a post going around a while ago that theorized that while the serum amplified steve’s goodness #whatever form of the serum bucky received amplified his protectiveness #and i wonder if we’re getting the first glimpse of that here #bucky’s feelings of protectiveness over steve amplified #manifesting in rage and fear and a willingness to stand there and burn if steve isn’t with him #(manifesting later in a willingness to kill) #bucky bucky bucky i am so sad for you #marvel cinematic universe #bucky barnes #captain america (via theonlycheeseleft)
