What I especially love about Peggy is, in so many books and T.V. shows when we do get a strong female character, we often get the “I’m not like other girls,” superior-sounding speech or the “special snowflake” syndrome. But Peggy has never belittled other women, or thought herself above them, and she treats Angie the waitress and Rose the the telephone operator with nothing but respect and friendliness.
