I asked my followers to send their experiences with sexual assault and Misogyny with gay men and this is what I got.
Women aren’t the only people who are targeted by gay misogyny, dfab trans people are targeted…
‘Gay mysogyny’, bahaha. Half of this shit doesn’t sound like stuff a gay person would be interested in doing, and they all seem unlikely/anecdotal. Sorry, I doubt there’s too many legitimate gay men who are interested in feeling you up, ladies. That isn’t how it works. Sounds more to me like 'a guy I liked is gay so I need to vent my frustrations by submitting bullshit stories’ more than anything. Or the guys doing this were just pretending to be gay to get to you.
Regardless, there’s no such thing as ‘gay mysogyny’, and brief, anonymous stories shared in a 250 character space isn’t proof of it.

Is a man who molests a male child suddenly “gay” because the child he molested is male? Sexual assault has nothing to do with sexuality.
The idea that women/dfab people were simply sexually frustrated that these men weren’t interested in them (a lot of these women are lesbians) is asinine.
There was a post about how when little boys playing fps games or games where they compete against people online use “rape”, that they don’t mean it in a sexual way at all.The post said that what they mean when they use the word rape is they dominated that person. Rape has nothing to do with sex. It has to do with power,as does sexual assault. Sexual assault is a power play and people who commit sexual assault want to feel that they have power over someone.
And another thing, I (as a woman) don’t give a fuck what you think a gay person would do. Gay people(specifically gay men) are already doing these things. Women and dfab people would like them to fucking stop.
This really does need to stop, it is not okay whatsoever and men/women need to respect others and end sexual assaults… but one thing about this topic that irritates me is that (most of) you people are speaking of gay people in general as if we all grope. You’re suddenly thinking because I’m gay I’m going to sexually assault someone. Especially the homophobic people I see really attacking us and giving us a bad image.
My point here being:
1: all people, STOP the sexual assaults.
2: not every gay man will sexually assault you. I will respect you.
3: if you dare sexually assault someone in anyway possible, you’re disgusting and how dare you.I can’t stand how many times i put disclaimers on things and people refuse to read them or hear them. This has never been about all gay men. I feel like I said that 3 times in this post alone.
And like I said, not all, but *most* people are directly targeting gays. This is not the 1st post I’ve seen related to this topic. Here’s my 2nd disclaimer, I can go onto my 3rd as well.
You need to come for them. miss me with that bullshit. This conversation has never been about all gay men. Take that up with the people who ARE implying it’s about all gay men.
