I just saw some excellent parenting at a nail salon. A woman was getting a pedicure while her young son sat and waited. One of the manicurists noticed him eyeing the wall of nail polish and told his mom that she could do his nails too if she liked. He lit up with a smile and the mom agreed. He is now getting a manipedi with sparkly green gel nails. Not a single “that’s for girls” was even hinted at, nothing but support. A+ parenting, ma’am, you tell those gender roles to fuck right off and you let that child of yours shine
