i just want little disabled girls to know they’re beautiful and that the moon and stars shine for them

drakeswheelchair

and, since it’s april and people are trying to cash in and exploit autistic people for their own gain, i really want autistic girls to know they’re beautiful, and that the moon and stars shine for them

especially autistic girls of color who are hugely misdiagnosed or undiagnosed, trans girls who have being autistic used against them in an innumerable amount of ways by medical professionals, fat autistic girls who are seen as undesirable on multiple axes, autistic girls who are multiply disabled and have their autonomy repeatedly taken from them

you’re all so important and wonderful, and you make this world a lovely place to be

Lets not forget the disabled boys

drakeswheelchair

this post is specifically for disabled girls, and, as my second comment states, especially autistic girls; they have every right to have ONE post celebrating them.

this post in no way implies the negation, or criticism, of disabled boys existence, and it should not be necessary to include them in a post meant to celebrate disabled girls, who experience a unique form of misogyny-driven ableism - the two cannot be separated - that disabled boys do not.
