Here’s the latest on Snowstorm Jonas
Dubbed Winter Storm Jonas, this weekend will bring a nightmarish mix of heavy snow, ice, powerful winds and coastal flooding. Over 15 states are supposed to be impacted, with more than 20 inches of snow expected in places like Washington D.C. But don’t confuse a winter storm with only snowfall. Wind and flooding in certain areas could do hurricane-level damage.

UPDATE 1/22: Transportation has already been heavily affected by the storm -
- United Airlines is canceling all flights departing from Washington Dulles International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey for Friday and Saturday, resuming service Sunday.
- Philadelphia International Airport has canceled all Saturday flights.
- The Washington Metro system will close at 11 p.m. EST Friday and remain closed through Saturday and Sunday.
