A great day for The Navajo Nation!!
A judge has ruled in their favor to continue their lawsuit against Urban Outfitters for their gross misuse of the word Navajo to describe their shitty clothes. Urban Outfitters tried to say that there was no standing to the lawsuit because The Navajo Nation couldn’t show “injury in fact” but Judge Bruce D. Black ruled the tribe has does, and can continue its claim under the Arts and Crafts Act.
Cultural Appropriation is disgusting and to call something “Native American” when it’s not is illegal.
This is huge!!! Congratulations to the Navajo Nation!
