Kyouya Ootori. 100%. I connect to Kyouya’s “I’m evil but, like, productively evil” thing on a visceral level, although I could only dream of being so collected and efficient. I don’t know that Kyouya qualifies as problematic except that he’s a manipulative bastard of the highest order and sells pictures/possessions of the Host Club for revenue and more or less blackmails Haruhi and…yeah, y’know what, I’m going to stand by this answer. That Haruhi spends a very extended period of time very anxious about not being attracted to people and finally tentatively settles on calling herself asexual and the Host Club is extremely supportive and caring and also that they somehow yank Tamaki out of his terrible home life and he and Kyouya take over the world together. Well, Kyouya takes over the world, Tamaki is just the face of the operation and the adoring cheering section. - what is your heart-breakingist head canon
…not actually a headcanon because I REFUSE TO BRING THESE SADS INTO MY HOUSE, but my inner pessimist (actually my outer pessimist) says that the Host Club fragments after they all start to leave school and first Honey and Mori leave, and they’re irreplaceable but the Club is still limping along, and then it’s Tamaki and Kyouya who leave, and everything just…falls apart, and Haruhi is alone again, and the twins retreat back into their closed-off little world, and the Host Club becomes that story they all tell at their dinners with a sad little smile and a wistful look in their eye.
For an actual headcanon, though, because I firmly believe this happens, I just want to give you this mental image: the Hitachiin twins read the Harry Potter books and they LOVE the Weasley twins, okay, they basically ARE the Weasley twins, Fred and George are EVERYTHING…. Where is my Extremely Gay Magic School AU where Haruhi is there because after her mother died her previously dormant magic went haywire and blew up, like, a power transformer and blacked out a city and Ouran fast-tracked her in on scholarship.
