My elementary school had drills telling us what to do in such an emergency. This is exactly what they told us. AND NOW FOR A FACT: IN CALIFORNIA YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REGISTER A SHOTGUN!
I live in America, and I was only taught to hide and be quiet. I had to learn this on Tumblr. If one more person says that technology is ruining children, they best shut the hell up because this could be saving lives
We had more lockdown drills at school than we did fire drills…
I’m in my 30’s and was in high school when Columbine happened, but never had a lockdown drill. I don’t think most people over 30 have any idea what they are.
For those of you young enough to be doing lockdown drills, please let your families know. Force them to see that you are being placed into a warzone so that the NRA can protect a white man’s right to overwhelming and unnecessary firepower.
Record one on your phone, get that shit on tumblr. Show us firsthand what we won’t see on TV. Link them as responses to friends and family on Facebook who are desperate to protect the 2nd amendment. Hashtag that shit #lockdowndrill or whatever tag is appropriate. You have incredible influence, don’t let it farts close their eyes to your experiences.
