i realize i’m maybe like, the Nichest of markets here, but i really really really desperately want to watch further adventures of Diana Prince, Curator of Antiquities™

…like, imagine the interdepartmental meetings

Diana: we have recently acquired several exquisite pieces of very early minoan kamares ware. i feel a refresh of the gallery might encourage our visitors to–

some marketing dipshit: look, we can’t get people in the door for pottery. we need another big show, like can you get a vermeer or–

Diana of Themiscrya, Amazon, God-Killer, Daughter of Hippolyta: pottery is important

some marketing dipshit, lightly pissing himself: i agree

THIS but also I just wanted to add that although logic dictates that Diana has to move around bc of the whole immortal thing I’m so enamored with the idea of “Mlle. Prince Has Always Been At the Louvre” in which everyone who works there just thinks it’s too gauche to bring up that she should be 95.

oh my God, yes, headcanon 100000000% accepted

“non, emil. never again ask why her file system uses the pre-war numbering. you are new here. we do not speak of this.”

Also, Diana unconsciously handling the weapons like she’s prepping for a fight.

Because, as someone who has had training, it sticks. So, you pick up a sword to look at it (in, say, one of those weird shitty mall stores that sell bongs and incense and shitty wall hanger swords) and you kind of unconsciously drop into a stance a little bit, plant your feet, and maybe give it a practice twirl to test the balance.

Then you look around and realize that everyone around you has stepped back four paces and is eyeing you with a sort of wide-eyed combination of shock and terror.

And you’re just like ‘what. Also, this thing’s blade heavy’.

Okay, but when and how did Diana settle into being a curator in the first place? I assume she traveled a lot of places, maybe ending up in Egypt after a bizarre set of circumstances. What I’m saying is maybe Diana of Themyscira meets one Evelyn Carnahan.

You live in a world where magic exists, however, you must sacrifice a memory in order to cast a spell. The more memories, or the more precious a memory, the more powerful the magic. You just woke up with no memory save a name.

I’ve always wondered why the people in the town thought Belle was so weird and more importantly how does a bookshop stay open if it only has one single regular customer who is also not wealthy? The only explanation is that there must be something else about Belle that is considered to be odd or strange that was never addressed or thought of in the animated film.

please please someone write me 10k of hacker!Nana.

Heeheehee, YAHS.

Not 10k, but hope you like it:

There was one thing Hardison never told anyone.  Not Nate, not Sophie, not Parker or Elliot.  Hardison had a teacher.  The way Parker had Archie, Hardison had her.  She used to work for NASA, wrote out the flight codes by hand.  She helped launch the shuttle that put Armstrong on the Moon.  And she taught him everything.  At ten he was writing his own computer codes in spiral notebooks during math classes he could have passed in his sleep, taking them home and showing them to her.

“Look, Nana!  This one draws butterflies on the screen.”

“That’s good, Alec.  But you switched from COBALT to C++ in the middle here.  That’s not gonna do you any good baby.  Here’s how you fix it…”

Her pension from the government helped pay for all of Nana’s kids, but when she got sick, it wouldn’t quite cover her medicine or doctor.  She wasn’t going to short the kids any, and Alec knew that.  He also knew that they’d look at her first if he took money out of an account linked to her job.  He knew this because she told him, because she knew how his mind worked.  That’s how he wound up hacking an overseas bank that had lent money to her old boss, the one who denied her request for government healthcare.  And if he left behind some breadcrumbs for the authorities to find that led to that jerk, well, there are worse things to do on Prom night.

YAAAAAAAHHHHHHS!!!!

OH MY GOD NANA IS ONE OF NASA’S HUMAN CALCULATORS. (Maybe even Katherine Johnson?)

THIS WAS SHORT BUT OH SO SATISFYING. SERIOUSLY, WHEN I REALIZED WHAT WAS HAPPENING, I KICKED MY FEET AND WHOOPED.

I think several mutuals might like this one :)

“biological sex is a social construct” doesn’t mean “chromosomes, anatomy, hormones, and genitalia don’t exist”. it means “these exist, but assigning roles, labels, and expectations to certain combinations of these characteristics is a social construct, and an unnecessary and pointless (actually harmful) one at that”.

what the sex positive movement should be about:

  • destroying the idea that sex is only for cis men and should revolve around them
  • protecting sex workers
  • protecting minorities oppressed for their sexual preferences (LGBTQIA+)
  • destroying the notion that sex is dirty and shameful
  • be critical of the concept of virginity

what the sex positive movement should NOT be about

  • defending the porn industry at all costs
  • normalizing gross kinks (raceplay, fetishizing little girls…)
  • trying to lower the age of consent and to say that 13-year-old sending nudes and having sex is fine
  • mocking asexual people
