Somewhere in the Leverage universe, there is a conspiracy theorist trying to prove that a certain minor league baseball player, a Canadian hockey player, and an American country music singer are all the same person. They have a file with various news printouts, and keep trying to upload them to a website, but every time they do, the site mysteriously crashes, threads go missing on discussion boards, and all electronic records of this man have simply vanished.

Three years later a man comes to Portland and settles down in this brewery, cuz somebody said it wasn’t a half-bad place to get food. And then he sees the chef.

Turns out he’s a half-decent researcher and very good at finding people who desperately need help, and he eventually gets hired as a “marketing associate” for the pub.

The order’s wrong. He gets a job offer from Leverage International, that’s why he goes to Portland in the first place.

He doesn’t understand why they picked a brewpub for the interview (and what the hell is up with the house beer? Weird name, weirder flavor, but the server just smiles and says it’s an acquired taste and he may want to start acquiring it…), until the chef is his second interview of three.

“I wasn’t even looking for a job,” Bobby said, checking to make sure his charging cords were all secure in the flap of the laptop carry-on case as they pulled up to the airport drop-off zone. “I’m still not sure it’s not a scam.”

“Lot of effort to go to for a scam,” his sister pointed out, deftly flinging the car across three lanes to try and get a good spot at the curb.

“I mean I guess even if it is a scam they paid for my flight out to Portland. I hear it’s a nice town.”

it’s cool that nate and sophie are the ones, out of the main cast, who have a very passionate, tempestuous, evolving relationship. they’re older characters, by tv standards, and normally their romance would be pg because people past 30 can’t have sex what are you talking about??? but they do, more than once before they get together, and sophie is even pushing for a casual sex kind of relationship for a bit and isn’t cast as the bad guy for it and it’s just like. so nice? such a different dynamic. i love this show so much

Imagine if Robin Hood was in the 21st century except instead of King John it’s major corporations and instead of Robin Hood it’s an alcoholic ex-insurance cop lying to himself about being a good man and so hardbitten noir you practically choke on the cigarette smoke

oh and instead of the Merry Men you’ve got a hacker with a heart of gold who once drained the Icelandic bank for his grandmother’s medical bills, a self-loathing hitter who likes to pretend he’s an island when in actuality all he wants is someone to ask him to stay, and a thief who doesn’t melt or soften so much as find her footing, her home, and people who love her.

(also, spoilers, they are all married)

………..and Maid Marian is actually a grifter par excellence, femme fatale in the grand noir tradition, who is selfish and kind and the closest thing to a functional adult in the group, which is sort of terrifying, except for all the parts where it is amazing

Gosh, see that’s why I love Hardison bc he doesn’t see a problem, he sees a solution. No office? Still feeling a bit insecure about your place in your family and where your family’s relationship is after a trauma?
BUY the building your not-dad person lives in and give Eliot a chainsaw. Where’s that crime against humanity painting? Put it over the mantle or something, it’s beautiful and terrible. Bring in a couple extra fridges bc Eliot refuses to let his gourmet deli meats to be in the same fridge as Hardison’s fifteen 2 liters of orange soda. And Sophie demands something other than coffee and orange soda. Parker just wants a workbench to build rigs(and small explosives).

I write.  I swear to God.  I actually love writing fanfic.  BUT, and here’s the catch, I have a ton of trouble coming up with short fic ideas.  Short anything ideas, really.  The most memorable example is that one time I decided to write how I thought someone being able to see the future would pan out, just a few pages of character study, dicking around with super powers, nothing fancy.  Smash cut to a year and a half later, I’m wrapping up my 350 page novel and staring dismally at my 200 additional pages of worldbuilding.  And it’s always like that, it gets so out of hand.

SO.  My solution to that is this.  If you have a craving for a specific pairing that you know I ship, shoot me a prompt and I’ll throw together a short fic for you and post it.  I’m trying to unwind after finals, so it’ll be good for me, and you’ll get fic, so it’ll be good for you.

Hit me up.

This is your reminder that I’m bored and open for prompts.

Actually, this is a comment that they made Steve Rogers HYDRA in the most recent comic and I’m incredibly upset about it, so send me prompts so I have something else to think about.

I still think Parker and Hardison is one of the cutest couples ever created on screen. In lots of tv shows and movies, there’s the cliche that everyone knows the characters love each other…except the characters themselves. It works pretty well, which is why it happens so often.

But what works better with Parker and Hardison is exactly what the show did. Everyone does know that they care dearly for one another and eventually love one other INCLUDING Parker and Hardison.

Parker just wasn’t ready to give that part of herself to him. She was still discovering herself and the new feelings she was feeling. The fact that Hardison knew exactly how she felt and waited for her without pushing her while still letting her know he was interested was honestly beautiful and very developed of them as characters.

  • Sophie: Tell me, exactly, how long it is that you've been on this team?
  • Hardison: Two years, seven months, three days and, I suppose, what... two hours?
  • Sophie: And how long have you been in love with Parker, our enigmatic theif?
  • Hardison: Ahm, two years, seven months, three days and, I suppose, an hour and thirty minutes.

please please someone write me 10k of hacker!Nana.

Heeheehee, YAHS.

Not 10k, but hope you like it:

There was one thing Hardison never told anyone.  Not Nate, not Sophie, not Parker or Elliot.  Hardison had a teacher.  The way Parker had Archie, Hardison had her.  She used to work for NASA, wrote out the flight codes by hand.  She helped launch the shuttle that put Armstrong on the Moon.  And she taught him everything.  At ten he was writing his own computer codes in spiral notebooks during math classes he could have passed in his sleep, taking them home and showing them to her.

“Look, Nana!  This one draws butterflies on the screen.”

“That’s good, Alec.  But you switched from COBALT to C++ in the middle here.  That’s not gonna do you any good baby.  Here’s how you fix it…”

Her pension from the government helped pay for all of Nana’s kids, but when she got sick, it wouldn’t quite cover her medicine or doctor.  She wasn’t going to short the kids any, and Alec knew that.  He also knew that they’d look at her first if he took money out of an account linked to her job.  He knew this because she told him, because she knew how his mind worked.  That’s how he wound up hacking an overseas bank that had lent money to her old boss, the one who denied her request for government healthcare.  And if he left behind some breadcrumbs for the authorities to find that led to that jerk, well, there are worse things to do on Prom night.

YAAAAAAAHHHHHHS!!!!

OH MY GOD NANA IS ONE OF NASA’S HUMAN CALCULATORS. (Maybe even Katherine Johnson?)

THIS WAS SHORT BUT OH SO SATISFYING. SERIOUSLY, WHEN I REALIZED WHAT WAS HAPPENING, I KICKED MY FEET AND WHOOPED.

I think several mutuals might like this one :)
